Hunan Advances Smart Agricultural Machinery Industry

Hunan Vice Governor Cao Zhiqiang inspected the development of agricultural machinery industry in Changsha and Loudi on June 23, 2025. He underscored that efforts should be oriented towards serving national strategic needs and maximizing Hunan's potential, with emphasis on the advantageous characteristics of agricultural machinery in hilly and mountainous areas. The vice governor called for persistently reinforcing strengths, shoring up weak links, and fostering foundations, so as to build Hunan into a hub of smart agricultural machinery industrial chain development.

Vice Governor Cao visited the Hunan Jinsong Machinery Co., Ltd., Hunan Nongyou Machinery Group Co., Ltd., and Shuangfeng County Agricultural Machinery Exhibition Center in Shuangfeng County, Loudi City, as well as the Zoomlion Smart Town in Xiangjiang New Area, Changsha City. He learned about the production and operation, product innovation, intelligent manufacturing, and digital transformation of the enterprises, speaking highly of the contributions made by these enterprises in building Hunan into a manufacturing and agricultural powerhouse.

Vice Governor Cao later hosted a seminar to promote the high-quality development of agricultural machinery industry. He noted that it was a prime time for Hunan to advance the high-quality development of agricultural machinery industry, enjoying broad prospects and great potential. Efforts should be made to:

- Unite efforts and strengthen support in policy, talent, and other key areas;

- Enhance the momentum of innovation and intensify the scientific and technological self-reliance;

- Improve the development quality and efficiency and accelerate transformation and upgrading of the industry;

- Foster competitive advantages and forge a strong industrial and supply chain;- Expand the development space and strengthen the integrated demonstration applications;

- Elevate the opening up level and deepen international exchanges and cooperation; and,

- Strive to take measures to boost Hunan's agricultural machinery industry towards high-end, intelligent, green, and international leapfrog development.
